Step-by-step Guide: Defining Scope 2 Emissions

  1. Navigate to Identify > Emissions Boundaries and go to "Scope 2" tab.

  2. Go through each sub-category (Purchased Electricity, Purchased Heat, Steam, or Cooling) by clicking their respective tabs.

  3. For each facility/node listed, carefully read and answer the questions.

Tip for Accounting Professionals: Accurately identifying purchased electricity, heat, steam, or cooling sources is vital for calculating your Scope 2 emissions, which are often tied to utility bills.
